Computer can detect suspicious money deals

Manila – A remittance network provider has developed a new computer application that can trace suspicious transactions of money remittance thru text-messages.

This was announced by Mohur Inc. chief executive officer Eduardo Burgos, who belongs to a family of journalists led by late press freedom icon Jose Burgos Jr., after Mohur and PLDT SME Wireless signed an agreement.

Mohur bid to become remittance service provider gets BSP okay

Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Integrated Service Department (ISD) 1 has approved the application of Mohur Inc. to become a remittance service provider of Peragram Inc. and Land Bank of the Philippines.

This development came after BSP ISD 1 deputy director Luida Q. Vinluan informed Mohur chairman and CEO Eduardo Burgos Jr. that BSP ISD 1 have acted upon Mohur’s application.
